If you don’t already know, if I had to wear 1 lip product for the rest of my life, it would be a nude liquid lipstick. That’s why I was so happy when Infinitely Classic, an ethical fashion and makeup brand, reached out to me  to collaborate on the release of three of their new Velvet Liquid Lipstick shades!

The brand is certified-halal, cruelty free, made in Canada and 100% Muslim-women run – that’s a long list of things I can definitely support!  Infinitely Classic has many more shades of their liquid lipsticks on their website (currently down until the next restock). For now, I’m trying their three new shades – Fighter, Mogul and Go-Getter. To find out my thoughts, just keep reading.

Formula

Swatches of liquid lipstick
Shades from L to R: Go-Getter, Mogul and Fighter

I found when applying this liquid lipstick to my lips that it was a little streaky at first but nothing too crazy. It took about 2-3 swipes for the shade to be completely opaque. In general when it comes to liquid lipsticks, I always recommend scrubbing your lips or wearing a lip balm/mask the night before so that your lips are as smooth and hydrated as possible.

I love that the product layers really well on my lips since I have to put on a couple swipes and doesn’t get clumpy at all. While the formula dries down to a full matte and isn’t super drying, I noticed that it’s not completely transfer resistant (it came off on the lid of my Starbucks coffee) but that’s not something that bothers me to be honest. The liquid lipsticks also have a really soft subtle vanilla scent which I really like!

The shade Mogul is kind outside my comfort zone (I’m super picky when it comes to nudes) but is my favourite of the three! It’s a beautiful pinky shade that I normally wouldn’t wear but is great for a subtle pop of colour in the spring and summer. The shade Go-Getter was personally a little bit too light for my skintone but popping it in the middle of your lips with a darker lip liner around the edges makes it look beautiful! As for the shade Fighter, it’s such a pretty berry tone colour that would look great on everyone! For me, it’s something I’d most likely wear in the fall.

Packaging

The packaging is pretty simple and straight forward which I appreciate. I really enjoy the doe-foot applicator which is small enough to get around the edges of your lips and make it super precise – no lip liner needed (unless you’re wearing a darker nude)! However, they retail for $22.50 USD which is around $30.20 CAD. Unfortunately I do think it’s on the higher end of the price scale if you’re paying in Canadian.

Bottom Line

Overall I’d say I’m pretty satisfied with these liquid lipsticks and that I enjoy them. I do think I’d be interested in trying their other shades since I didn’t completely fall in love with any of these three shades (this is completely based on my personal preference when it comes to colours). I don’t find them to be the most amazing thing I’ve put on my lips but they’re definitely not the worst either.

I love the fact that they’re ethically made, cruelty free and vegan. If you’re looking to support a local Canadian brand that empowers women and overall has great messaging behind it while rocking a beautiful nude lip – Infinitely Classic is it!

Thank you to Infinitely Classic for sponsoring this blog post. As always, my opinions are 100% my own. #ad #sponsored
