The Too Faced Peaches and Cream collection recently launched about a month ago and I don’t think I’ve ever been so excited for a collection to come out! I find that most releases these days are all about products that make you dewy and luminous. I’m so happy that a brand actually has an entire line dedicated to combination-oily skin. The Peach Perfect Comfort Matte Foundation definitely caught my attention the most and is the product I’ll be reviewing.
The foundation claims to:
- Smooth the look and feel of skin
- Last up to 14 hours
- Oil-free formula
- Smell like peaches and sweet fig cream
I love the packaging of this foundation! It comes in a tube like bottle with a pump at the end. This makes it super travel friendly since glass bottles can often break. However, I do wonder when the foundation starts to run out how efficient the pump will be. I’ve tried to take out the pump and it doesn’t seem to budge.
The foundation is 1.6 oz/48mL and retails for $45 CAD. To me, this is a decent price for a foundation from Sephora. Not to mention traditional foundations are usually 1oz/30mL so you are getting a bit more product than usual.
This has become my new favourite everyday foundation! It claims to be a “comfort matte” foundation which describes it pretty well. It’s not too drying yet somehow feels moisturizing when I put it on. At first it has a satin-like look but dries down to a natural finish. I’ve used a beauty blender and brush to apply it and both turned out great. The coverage is definitely medium, yet buildable, which makes it great for everyday. With just one layer I can still my acne scars peak through a little bit.
Having combo-oily skin I usually get an oily forehead after a couple hours no matter what foundation I wear, but with this one I’m not super oily. It definitely holds up pretty well.
Since the foundation is infused with peaches and sweet fig cream it does have a light peachy scent. However, it’s goes away after a couple minutes and doesn’t linger throughout the day.
One major con I have about this foundation is the shade range. There are only 12 shades in this foundation line which makes it really hard to find your shade. If you’re very fair or on the deep end of the spectrum, you probably won’t be able to find a shade that matches you unfortunately.
Overall, I think this is a really good foundation! I think it would work well for all skin types (if you have dry skin I recommend using a hydrating primer before). It lasts all day, it’s not heavy and is perfect for everyday. The peach scent isn’t too overwhelming and the packaging is great for travel! Once again, the shade range isn’t the best and definitely needs to be expanded.
