Believe it or not, but if you have combination-oily skin moisturizing is still super important in your skincare routine! Moisturizing in the morning and before you go to bed ensures that your skin will produce less oil because your skin is balanced out. I’ve tried so many moisturizers over the past year and have finally found some amazing ones that works great for combo-oily skin! The one key component you’ll notice with these moisturizers is that they’re all oil-free and come in a gel formula. A gel formula is the best because it isn’t heavy and is really light on the skin!

Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturizing Gel

This is probably my all-time favourite moisturizer of all time! I’m currently on my third bottle of the Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturizing Gel and will probably keep using this for years. Before I started using this product, my skin has lots of texture on my cheeks due to cystic acne. After using this moisturizer my texture was gone and my skin always feels so smooth! I also find that you can use this one during the summer AND winter months. It’s light enough to use in the summer since it is a gel but also thicker than a typical gel moisturizer that you can use it in the winter. I use two pumps during the winter when my skin is more dry.

L’Oreal Hydra Genius Liquid Moisturizer

I recently discovered the L’Oreal Hydra Genius Liquid Moisturizer at the beginning of the summer and quickly fell in love. As you can see in the photo I’ve already used half of the bottle! The packaging is great since it comes with a pump and it’s made of heavy glass giving it a very luxurious feel. I find that this moisturizer is better suited for the summer since it’s a very light gel formula but not heavy enough for the winter. The gel also has a very strong scent which bothered me at first but I quickly got over it. If you want a more in-depth interview of of this moisturizer, click here.

Kiehl’s Ultra Facial Oil-Free Gel Cream

I’ve wanted to try Kiehl’s Ultra Facial Oil-Free Gel Cream for the longest time and finally grabbed it a couple months ago. I think this moisturizer is very similar to the L’Oreal one above but with no scent at all and a little thicker in texture! I also find this one a bit more hydrating and useable for the winter months. I wish it came in a bottle with a pump but it still works well and you only need a little bit. I love that when I wake up I’m not a greasy mess and my skin just looks very fresh! I currently have the smaller version which I find perfect for travel.

Overall, I’ve been rotating through these three moisturizers over the past couple months depending on my skin’s needs and loving them! Do you have a favourite moisturizer that works well for combo-oily skin? Let me know in the comments!
